Stilton stuffed pear with a balsamic reduction

Ingredients

For the Stilton-stuffed pear
½ pear, peeled, core removed (leave the pear intact)
25g/1oz stilton, chopped
1 tbsp honey
For the balsamic reduction
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp honey
small handful chopped fresh dill, to serve

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
2. For the Stilton-stuffed pear, place the pear onto a baking tray and stuff the Stilton into the hollow where the core was removed. Drizzle with the honey, then transfer to the oven to bake for 5-10 minutes, or until the pear is tender and the cheese is bubbling and golden-brown.
3. For the balsamic reduction, heat the ingredients in a pan until the volume of the liquid has reduced slightly and is thick and syrupy.
4. Serve the stuffed pear on a bed of fresh dill and drizzle the reduction around the edge of the plate.
