Ingredients
25g/1oz caster sugar
juice from a can of cherries
30ml/1fl oz red wine
50g/2oz pitted cherries from a can
Method
1. Heat a frying pan and add the sugar and the cherry juice. Heat to dissolve the sugar, then add the red wine. Bring to the boil and reduce until thickened.
2. Add the cherries and simmer until warmed through.
3. To serve, spoon the cherries and sauce into a bowl.
