Ingredients
vegetable oil, for deep frying
3 sheets fresh lasagne
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
lightly whipped double cream, to serve
Method
1. Place the vegetable oil into a deep, heavy-based saucepan and heat until a small cube of bread sizzles and turns golden when dropped into it. (CAUTION: hot oil can be dangerous. Do not leave unattended.)
2. Cut the lasagne sheets into triangles and deep fry until golden-brown and crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.
3. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and add the chips. Mix gently using your hands until the chips are well coated.
4. Remove from the bowl and serve immediately with a small bowl of lightly whipped double cream for dipping.
