Description
Anyone can make this easy ice cream? It's really simple and you don't need an ice cream machine, just a rigid freezer proof container with a tight fitting lid. I've used milk chocolate chips but you could swap them for plain or white if you prefer.
Ingredients
600ml fresh ready-made custard
150ml strong black coffee
300ml double cream
50g milk chocolate chips
Method
1. Put the custard in a bowl and stir in the coffee. Softly whip the cream and fold into the mixture, along with the chocolate chips. Pour the mixture into a freezer container and cover with a tight fitting lid.
2. Place the container in the freezer for 2 hours, then beat with a fork to break up the ice crystals. Return to the freezer and repeat the process after another 2 hours. Return to the freezer until completely frozen.
